How can I track my running frequency accurately?

We’ve noticed two types of runners: 1) those who record their entire training session as a single workout, and 2) those who log each part of their workout separately - warm-up, intervals/ tempo splits/ cool-down - to better track intensity, heart rate, or effort. The problem with the first case is that you only see an overall average, making it harder to track splits. In the second case your run count becomes inflated, misrepresenting your actual training frequency.

KULG’s accurate run frequency feature solves the situation for the 2nd group of runners. You can mark which of your activities were a separate workout and which were part of a workout. This enables you to track running frequency accurately and impacts the following metrics:

NB! If you have recorded several activities that were all part of a single running workout, then mark all activities except 1 as “part of a workout”. In this case, the number of runs will be marked accurately as 1. All activities marked as “part of workout” are counted as 0.

By default, all synced or manually added activities are marked as separate workouts in KULG App. If you record parts of the workout separately, e.g. Easy run (warm-up), Interval run, Easy run (cool-down), then simply mark all runs except one as “Activity part of workout”. This way the no. of runs on the Distance graph will be accurate - 1 instead of 3. And the average run length will also not be smaller.
